Do You Have Your Emergency Kit Stocked?

Don't let a chicken emergency catch you off guard!

Owning chickens, you will never know when what type of emergency will come up and your chicken needs medical attention.

You should have a few items on hand. I have a chicken medical kit with various things I've needed along the way.

This is my list, hopefully it will help give you some ideas



Promotes fast healing of wounds.

Helps for foot wrapping with dealing with bumblefoot or scaly leg mites.



 



Use in conjunction with vet wrap for bumblefoot issues.




 


Helps soften footpad with bumblefoot and other skin issues.




 


Helps draw out infection with bumblefoot.



 


Tool used for spur trimming on roosters.



 



Helps stop bleeding if needed when spur trimming.



 

Helps treat a deadly disease that attacks a baby chick's or adult chicken's intestinal tract.



 

A good shampoo to have on hand especially in summer if chickens have dirty vent feathers to help prevent Flystrike.




 

Frees up hands when checking for mites and lice or other health issues after dark.



 

Broken beaks happen occasionally.




 

Best book to have on hand for health issues.

Chicken Vitamins provides maximum vitamin intake, supports the immune system which is helpful when transporting chicks or chickens from one home to the next. Also beneficial for broody hens as they eat and drink 80% less and can become malnourished.




 

Chicken Electrolytes to have on hand when a chicken is unwell or stressed.



 

Chicken product to have on hand incase any minor respiratory issues might appear. Boosts their immune system.



 

A product to use in case of Scaly Leg Mites or to use for the prevention of frostbite.



 

Everyday use for the prevention of insects around the coop like flies or Mites.
