AquaSol-Safeguard

Intestinal Parasites
Fenbendazole AquaSol
C$25 +  $20 shipping  anywhere in Canada

NO EGG WITHDRAWAL WHEN USED ACCORDING TO MIXING INSTRUCTIONS.

Offered in 9ml vials, will treat 800 lbs of chickens.

A healthy chicken can manage a reasonable worm load but when chickens get sick or stressed, their immune system is taxed and the parasites have the opportunity to overpopulate.

When worms become a problem they can cause disease, infection and death.

Symptoms include:

*worms in eggs

*abnormal droppings (diarrhea, foamy-looking, etc.)

*weight loss

*pale comb/wattles

*listlessness

*dirty vent feathers

*worms in droppings

* throat gasping, head-stretching and shaking

*bald butts (inability to regrow feathers) *reduced egg production and sudden death.

Fenbendazole 20% AquaSol is the most effective treatment for nearly all types of internal parasitic worms affecting poultry.

It's effective against the following types of intestinal and poultry worms.

-Adult and larval Roundworm

-Cecal worms

-Threadworms

-Gapeworm

-Eyeworm

Tapeworms (most common)

Each ml of AquaSol concentrate contains 200 mg of Fenbendazole and must be administered orally to chickens via drinking water at a daily dose of 1 mg/kg BW (0.454 mg/lb) for 5 consecutive days.

DO NOT  administer directly into their mouth, as this is a concentrate and requires water to activate and be absorbed into their intestinal tract.

Tapeworm Notice: Even though Fenbendazole is known to treat the two most common types of tapeworm found in chickens, it is recommended that if treating for tapeworm, to either double the dose or add one additional drop of AquaSol per gallon of water.

GENERAL MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Weigh your Chickens-

If you're treating many birds, you can estimate by simply weighing a few and getting an average for all. A small extra amount of medication will not be harmful to poultry.

An average hen weighs 5 lbs, roosters weigh around 7 lbs and bantams are around 2 lbs each.

2. Use the Guide-

A chart is provided to determine the number of drops of Fenbendazole 20% AquaSol to use for the number of chickens you will be treating.

NOTICE: When dealing with tapeworm you might want to add an additional drop per gallon of water.

3. Shake the AquaSol before Mixing-

The nanoparticles in the solution tend to settle to the bottom of the bottle, making the bottle look half full (when it's actually not)

4. Add the calculated volume of AquaSol to the amount of drinking water that the number of chickens will consume in a 24 hour period and stir thoroughly.

5. At the end of each day, remove any remaining water, rinse the waterer out and replace with newly medicated water.

Repeat in 10 days if needed (worms seen or fecal float indicates)

REMOVE ALL OTHER SOURCES OF DRINKING WATER DURING TREATMENT

The daily dose of 1 mg Fenbendazole per kg body weight (0.5 mg per pound)

Example: a 5 pound chicken would require about 1/4 of a drop of medication. It is okay to have a little more medication in the water than necessary. Over dosing by a "small amount" is not harmful to the chickens.
